State of Play is an interior architecture studio that services the hospitality and commercial sectors, with the belief that great design can be delivered at all scales, to all people. We transform spaces into exciting places where people want to spend their free time – connecting, disconnecting, having fun and coming back to, time and time again.

Led by director Katherine Kemp, our studio is comprised of dynamic and experienced designers and architects, unified by a shared passion for delivering lively and singular environments that enhance form, support function, tell stories, build brands and improve the way space is both used and experienced.

Our work is underpinned by a larger responsibility to help shape a better future. Through resilient architecturual practices our focus is on resourceful adaptation of the existing, rather than the building of the new.
We love being challenged by budgets, difficult sites and tricky briefs (although preferably not all at once) – it makes victory taste all that much sweeter. But ultimately, what we love the most is playing the game with a great team – our clients and collaborators.
